Wagering & How to Bet. Moneyline, Parlays, Round Robins, and more! 55/1 Super Bowl Odds Boost. The easiest way to understand moneyline wagers is by using a $100 bet. Using the above example, the moneyline on the underdog Buccaneers opened at +148 (currently +150). At +148 odds, a $100 wager would pay $148 in profit if the Buccaneers won the game (for a total payout of $248).

    Odds Boosts

This is one of the best features that separates FanDuel Sportsbook from the rest of the competition. Each day FanDuel offers players a chance to win a little extra money with their “Odds Boosts” bets. What are Odds Boosts? Odds Boosts are an added value to a bet or parlay. Examples of this could include “Yankees win, and Mets lose,” and the value could be boosted from +150 to plus +200. It could also be as simple as “Serena to win Wimbledon” boosted from +100 to +175. There is a max bet associated with most Odds Boost bets, but for the added value, it is certainly worth the limitations.

    Explaining How Odds Work

For those who are new to sports betting, a sportsbook can look a little confusing at first, but it is straightforward to understand everything you are seeing. You may see a number attached to a certain bet, such as +150 or -110. These are the odds that payout for that particular bet. If you see a bet selection with +150, that means for every $100 you risk, you win $150 in return. So if you bet $300, you would win $450 on that bet. When you see a -150, that will work the opposite way. You would have to wager $150 to win $100. So if a bet has a line of -120, you would need to bet $120 to win $100. If you bet $100 on that -120, you would only win $83.33.

Don’t worry. The FanDuel Sportsbook does all the calculations for you; all you have to do is input your desired betting amount. The bet slip will show you how much you can win for the particular bet you have chosen.

    Common Types of Bets

There are a lot of different betting options, but we are going to stick to the basics for now. The most common types of betting are “Money Line”, “Spread”(sometimes referred to the “Run Line” in baseball and the “Puck Line” in hockey), and “Total”.

    Money Line

“Money Line” betting is the simplest and most common form of betting. This means you are betting who will win the game or match. It is that simple. If you would want to bet on the Green Bay Packers to win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, no matter by how much, all you would do is place a Money Line bet. For favorites, the payouts are smaller on Money Line bets. For underdogs, the payouts are higher.

    Spread

The “Spread” is the score set by the sportsbooks that your bet must either win by if they are the favorite or “cover” if they are the underdog. Covering means an underdog doesn’t lose by the amount of the spread or more. An example of this would be if the Packers were favored by seven points. You would see Green Bay-7 in the sportsbook, and in return, you would see Dallas+7. This means if you bet the spread, the Packers have to win by more than seven for that bet to win. If you take Dallas, they can lose by as many as six points or even win the game, and you win your bet. The Spread is how a sportsbook evens the playing field for underdogs.

    Total

The “Total” is another simple and common way of betting. This means you are betting the “Over” or “Under” on a specific game. In an NFL game, you could see a total of 40 points. If you bet the Under, you would need the combined score of the two teams playing in that game to be less than 40 points to win your bet. If you take the Over, any total in that game higher than 40 points will get you the win.

FanDuel is considered low-risk, with an overall Trust Score of 98 of 99. FanDuel is a legal online sportsbook available to anyone in New Jersey, West Virginia, Indiana, and Pennsylvania state lines. Bets Offered

Overview: FanDuel Sportsbook offers over 100 bets on NFL and NBA games, and over 50 bets on NHL and soccer games. Popular bet types include spreads, moneylines, totals, parlays, round-robins, futures, props, and live bets.

Props: FanDuel offers an array of team and player props. Bettors can wager on whether LeBron James will score over or under 26 points on a given night, as well as how many field goals will be made during an NFL game. There are enough props to keep bettors satisfied no matter what sports are in season.

Bet-Back Feature: FanDuel's cash-out feature allows you to amend your original bet, allowing you to lock in a profit or loss. Bettors can settle their bet (or a portion of their bet) early, without having to wait for the event to finish.

Odds Boosts: FanDuel offers bettors a daily odds boost on a few select bets each day. Odds boosts act like a sale at a retail store, offering more incentive to make each bet. For example, FanDuel discounted the odds of Michael Thomas scoring a touchdown in week 11 from -180 to -120.

    Live Betting

FanDuel's live betting experience is fantastic. FanDuel is one of the only sportsbooks that allow you to stream games live from its app. Right now, select soccer and tennis games are available.

FanDuel offers live prop bets such as Over/Under total yards - Kirk Cousins. You can bet pitch-by-pitch for baseball games, as well as drive-by-drive for NFL games. With 5G rolling out soon, live betting will only get better. FanDuel uses a live match tracker to display what team is attacking, as well as in-game statistics. Live betting at FanDuel is an all-around win.

    Customer Service

FanDuel offers 24/7 live chat and email support, as well as telephone support from 10:00, am to 8:00 pm. Customer service is generally useful and informative.

    FanDuel Sportsbook App

The FanDuel Sportsbook App is one of the better apps available for sports betting. Not all customer support and educational pages are completely transferred over from the FanDuel website, sometimes causing the app to enter FanDuel's pages online. Aside from that, FanDuel offers players a well-rounded mobile experience. I had no issues navigating to different sports and bets, and lines updated quickly when I selected new games.

    Education

Education: FanDuel's education section is a small blemish on an otherwise shiny product. FanDuel explains different bet types, as well as what bets are available for each league. Examples of bet types are not given, making it challenging for first-time bettors to learn how to bet.

The Duel: The Duel is an extension of the FanDuel website that covers daily fantasy sports and sports betting. TheDuel provides users advice, injury reports, and articles on both DFS and sports betting. The Duel is a unique offering, but accessing it is not as easy as it could be.
